Dragon Killer #1

I went home to visit my family last weekend, and spent some time digging around in the basement looking for old National Geographics. I found a box full of drawings and some old books I made when I was a kid. They are all pretty awful, but my friend convinced me to post some of them up here… Below is Dragon Killer #1, a book I made in grade 5. It's pretty brutal, but here it is, if you click on each image it should become large enough to read. Thanks to Sarah for doing the scanning…

This is the best story I've ever read. I like how you specified all the amounts of gold, like he was in an RPG (I suppose that goes with dedicating the book to Super Nintendo). Truth be told, this is exactly the kind of story I used to write when I was a kid.

This is so cute and this book remains me of when I was little. Actually I created a lot of characters but I threw out all of them. Please take care of your infant drawings!!

thanks guys... I was pretty happy I found them... Sweetman, i was SO addicted to Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Ultima, etc when I wrote these, I think I even lifted a bunch of the names from those games... I think the dumbest part is when he kills the water monster, it's carrying a bunch of gold coins...

To be perfectly fair, Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior both had water monsters carrying gold coins... where did the fish keep them?

That's what you need to draw: fish with pockets. It's a new hybrid of fish and pants.
